Who we are
WeakSpot (weakspot.io) provides competitive intelligence for local businesses. You can reach us any time at hunter@weakspot.io.
What we collect
- Free self-analysis requests: your business name, website, and business email — the three fields on the form.
- Attribution: the query string of the page you arrived on (for example, utm campaign parameters), the page that referred you to us, and which of our pages you submitted the form from. This is captured with your form submission, not tracked while you browse.
- One functional cookie: the live demo sets a single cookie that remembers which sample business you were viewing, kept for 30 days. We set no tracking cookies and run no analytics or ad pixels as of the effective date above.
- IP addresses: used briefly, in memory only, to rate-limit form submissions. We do not store them.
Why we collect it
To prepare and deliver the analysis you requested and to follow up with you about it. Attribution tells us which campaign or page brought you to us — nothing more.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run our infrastructure, acting on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Turso (database), and Slack (internal notification when a new request arrives). We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Retention and your choices
We keep your submission until you ask us to delete it. Email hunter@weakspot.io to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, and we'll honor the request promptly.
Do Not Track
Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. We also don't run the kind of cross-site trackers those signals are aimed at.
Children
WeakSpot is a service for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If our practices change, we'll update this page and its effective date.
